GUSTAVO LUZ SOUSA
Gustavo Luz Sousa is the founder of 132 Studio, a creative practice based in New York City that turns ideas into objects, experiences, and systems.
Working at the intersection of art, design, and invention, the studio merges disciplines—graphic design, product design, film, branding, and material experimentation—to bring bold, unconventional ideas to life.

132 Studio collaborates with companies like General Electric, Stella Artois, Diageo, Alessi, Meta, and Airbnb on projects that range from patented product designs to collectible brand artifacts. The studio’s motto, ideas made material, reflects its belief that design is not just visual—it’s tangible, lived, and built.

Before founding 132 Studio, Gustavo worked internationally as a creative director, leading global campaigns and new business for some of the world’s most recognizable brands. He is also a painter and sculptor, with work featured in The New York Times, NPR, The Guardian, and Fast Company.
